Hold & Secure at Smith School

At approximately 12:40 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 21, 2025) Smith School enacted its Hold & Secure protocol as recommended by the RCMP, due to a developing situation within the community.

During Hold & Secure, access in and out of the school building is restricted. Activities within the school continue.

At approximately 1:05 p.m., RCMP advised that the Hold & Secure could be lifted, at which time regular school operations resumed.

We thank students, staff and community members who were in the building at the time for their cooperation while the Hold & Secure was in effect.
