Administrative Assistant
My name is Amber McConaghy, and I am the Administrative Assistant at Smith School. I’ve been in this role since March 2021, but my journey with Smith School began long before that. Two of my children have attended Smith School from preschool through Grade 9, and I still have a daughter currently in Grade 5. I’m incredibly grateful for the education and support my children have received at this amazing school.
Before moving into the office, I was the Smith Preschool teacher for many years—a role that allowed me to build strong connections within our school community and develop a deep appreciation for the staff, students, and families that make Smith so special.
I graduated from EPC in 2000 and moved to Smith in 2003. Since then, I’ve come to truly value the tight-knit, supportive nature of this community.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and our many animals, staying involved in our local 4-H group, being outdoors, and cheering on the Oilers!
I’m very thankful to be part of Smith School and the Aspen View School Division, and I feel fortunate to work each day alongside such an amazing team of students and staff.
