Smith School is ALLERGY Aware

As of October 1 - We are making the change from being Nut Free to being Allergy Aware.

We are an ALLERGY AWARE school. There are numerous allergies in our school. It is critical that students do not share food. Food products are often made up of many ingredients so it is important for food allergic individuals to know what ingredients are in a food product before they eat it. We kindly ask that students not share food with other students at school and when sending in food for class and school events (Halloween, Christmas concert, etc.) that potential allergens be listed (nuts, wheat, milk, etc.). We will take extra precautions to ensure that students are washing their hands after meals as well as wiping down tables and ensuring they are not sharing food with other students.
